How 77pab Became the Platform Pinoys Trust
Back when we launched 77pab, online gaming in the Philippines was a bit of a wild west. Plenty of platforms were operating, but most of them felt like they were designed somewhere else and just dropped into the local market without much thought for how Filipinos actually live, communicate, or move money. Payment options were limited, support was slow, and the sports coverage missed out on what mattered most — PBA, UAAP, local volleyball, and the weekend games Pinoys actually care about.
So we built something different. The team behind 77pab is made up of people who grew up watching the PBA Governors' Cup with their families, who know what it means when Ateneo faces DLSU in the UAAP Finals, and who use GCash for practically everything. That background shaped every decision we made — from the markets we carry to the way the platform loads on a mid-range Android phone running on mobile data.
The name 77pab came from the culture of the game itself — lucky numbers carry weight in Filipino betting tradition, and we wanted a brand that felt both modern and grounded in that local sensibility. Since launch, 77pab has grown into a platform trusted by hundreds of thousands of players across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
We're proud of that growth, but we never forget who we're building for. Every update, every new market, every improvement to payout speed — it all comes back to making 77pab the platform Pinoy players actually want to use, not just the one they end up settling for.
